We are Orchid Software, providers of Orchidnet - the UK's number 1 intranet product.
With over fifteen years development experience, we are a software house at the forefront of intranet technology. Since 1994, we have combined a hands-on, problem-solving approach with a genuine passion for what we do, creating the most powerful, flexible and feature-rich intranet product available; that's why Orchidnet has more features - and more applications - than any other intranet product.

Working closely with our customers is what sets us apart from the competition. We take a long-term approach to each one of our installations, helping our clients adapt their intranets to new technologies and changing business practices; that's why organisations such as Wyeth UK, Sharp and Nissan trust Orchidnet intranet software.

Our success and track record is a direct result of creating software based on real-life business requirements. Maintaining a close working relationship with our customers helps us to stay one step ahead of the competition, and produce intranet software that meets 100% of our clients' needs - that's why we are the UK's No.1 intranet provider.

Our Philosophy
Our development strategy is based around one fundamental idea: simplicity brings power. We believe that over-complicating any solution simply magnifies the problem itself. By getting right to the root of the business problem, we work out the best way to solve it and provide our clients with the most effective, efficient way to put it right - power through simplicity.

We aim to develop powerful, fully-featured intranet software based on real business needs; by combining client requirements with our own awareness and initiative, we create innovative, intelligent web-based applications that make it easy for organisations to communicate, collaborate and share information.

Everyone at Orchid Software has a background in the world of computing and software; we have at our heart a close-knit group of truly talented programmers, who all share a wide range of academic and technical qualifications and a real enthusiasm for what they do. They are the people who make Orchidnet what it is, providing our customers with intranet software that's perfect for their business needs.

Our Culture
At Orchid Software, we realise that every member of our team is a key part of the company's success - as an organisation we are fun, friendly and forward-thinking, and that is a direct result of the people who work here. We work together, in the truest sense of the phrase.

Creating the right culture is something that's very important to us; we aim to provide a unique and supportive working environment where individual contributions are not just welcomed but actively rewarded, and we take a democratic, empowering approach to everything we do as a company.

Taking pride in the people that work here means taking great strides to keep everyone happy. and we reap the benefits of this inclusive approach through the loyalty and commitment shown by our staff - many of us have been here for five years or more. It all goes towards make us the company that we are today, and it helps us all to stay sane in an ever-changing industry.

Our Clients
Starting out in 1994, we hoped that one day we might work with names such as Wyeth UK, Sharp, and Nissan: today, we are proud to count those names amongst our highly-valued list of Orchidnet customers.

We don't just focus on global brands, though - because we focus on real-life business requirements, our intranet software is equally at home in small or medium-sized businesses, and our client base includes a diverse range of organisations across the private, public and voluntary sectors.

We already provide intranet software for a wide range of organisations including police forces, publishers, housing associations, financial institutions, schools, healthcare organisations, car manufacturers, tech companies, caterers, insurers, commodity traders, HR consultancies and retail establishments of all shapes and sizes; you can read more about the companies that use Orchidnet on our intranet customers page.
