Introduction
Nissan Motor Manufacturing UK is the largest company in the North-East of England. The company achieved a turnover of 2.1 billion pounds from 1997-1998 and currently employs over 5000 people. The Nissan plant in Sunderland has been voted the most efficient car plant in Western Europe.
The Project
Audits are a fundamental part of a progressive commitment to quality. The Internal Audit Manager is an Intranet Driven application designed to make the planning, scheduling, and management of an audit as easy as possible.
Typically, at the beginning of the year, an audit plan is produced that outlines all the Internal audits for each month of the year for all processes within Nissan. The audit is then carried out and any non-conformances are recorded so that any associated corrective actions can be automatically highlighted and followed up.
