The Problem
The threat of legal action is a growing concern for any company, large or small, operating in today’s increasingly litigious society. Companies must ensure that employees are fully aware of any terms and conditions regarding their employment before commencing any activity. Establishing accountability is of utmost importance in these situations, making it increasingly necessary for employees to sign numerous declarations covering Health and Safety provisions, information security policies, data protection laws and a range of other legal concerns. The sheer volume of information necessary to provide accurate records means that the process becomes time consuming, expensive and highly paper-intensive for large companies like Northern Rock.
The Solution
Orchid Software have developed a generic Orchidnet application that allows any department within Northern Rock to create automatic online declarations to replace the paper-based forms used previously. The terms of each declaration must be accepted before new users can log on to certain applications or complete E-learning presentations. Not only does the application instantly eliminate the costs and waste involved with the production and storage of paper-based forms, it also automates the entire administrative process, ensuring that declarations are displayed and accepted and storing online records of completed forms for future reference. |
