The following Orchidnet Courses are available:
Content Management Course (1 day)
Orchidnet Content management training will help the content manager to learn about the core Orchidnet applications including Search Engine, Article, Fileshare, Discussion, FAQs, Weblinks, Organisation Chart, Quick Poll, Knowledge Management and basic area administration, including approval of submitted content.
Prerequisites:
Familiarity with Windows and a Web browser Basic understanding of HTML

General Look and Feel The Home Page The Knowledge Portal Searching Article Publishing Fileshare General introduction to all Standard Applications
Administration Course (1 Day)
This one-day course is aimed at administrators responsible for the set-up and maintenance of Orchidnet environment, specifically the management of users and communities, creating and managing community pages, managing content and menus, enabling integrated applications and managing security.
Prerequisites:
Understanding of Orchidnet Ideally content management course Working knowledge of Windows NT/Windows 2000 Administration
Objectives:
On completion of this course, participants should be able to:
Use the overall features of Orchidnet Use the Orchidnet Administration Tools Create and Manage Users and Communities Build Community Pages Manage Integration with your chosen Operating System and method of Authentication Use Repository Import Manage and Control Contents including Menus Enable and Configure Searching within Orchidnet Manage overall Orchidnet Security including Authentication, Access and Auditing.

The support centre provides authorised users with immediate and essential knowledge for installing, implementing, customising, and using Orchidnet-powered solutions. In addition a comprehensive Knowledge base is available to answer frequently asked questions, provide software updates and give general advice on getting the best from your Orchidnet installation. Customers with technical support contracts will also receive free feature updates as and when they become available.
Most of our customers benefit from remote access support, enabling us to see any issues first hand. This not only saves time during issue description, but also means any solutions can be implemented quickly with minimum disruption.
