As part of their focus on effective planning and management, 2008 saw Ogilvie begin to assess how the right IT systems could streamline and support the group’s internal communications and business processes. Intranet implementation was decided on as the appropriate strategy, and the results were presented to a focus group tasked with taking the project forward. The group went on to source a range of potential systems, and Orchidnet PRO emerged as a potential candidate through the subsequent comparative tender process.
Orchid Software were able to work closely with Ogilvie Group during this period to ensure that their requirements were addressed by Orchidnet’s range of functionality; live demonstrations and client references helped to reinforce the software’s credentials, and Ogilvie Group decided to choose Orchidnet PRO for their corporate intranet in late 2008.
Project initiation has produced a close working relationship between the two companies, and the Ogilvie intranet is currently at the planning and pre-implementation phase.
