Jack Wills is a British fashion and lifestyle brand, based on classically British heritage values. The company offers clothing and products as a University Outfitters favoured by the more exclusive end of the younger market. Founded in 1999, with retail outlets based in unusual period buildings, Jack Wills products are inspired by vintage sportswear, beachwear and classic British public school style. The company's Aubin & Wills brand provides the same values for a higher age group.
Having experienced impressive and steady growth as an organisation since its inception, Jack Wills now boasts a network of retail outlets that includes the U.K. and Republic of Ireland, while their online operations ship on a worldwide basis. Ensuring the smooth running of such a wide range of operations is, of course. a highly-involved task, and Jack Wills staff recognised the potential for the right business systems to help streamline and manage traditional company processes.
Jack Wills first contacted Orchid Software in July 2008 to discover how intranet usage could help to disseminate information across their head offices and nationwide store network; the company needed a system that would offer cross-platform compatibility and cater to all of their users and systems, as well as including a tailored graphical design that would provide a perfect fit for the company's prestige branding.
The discussion period that followed helped Orchid Software to demonstrate how Orchidnet would provide the perfect match for Jack Wills' needs on both technical and end-user levels, and Orchidnet was chosen for the Jack Wills intranet in quarter three, 2009.
